Book Display: International Women’s History Month

Suffragettes, flappers, activists, artists, riot-grrls – celebrate International Women’s History Month! Hunt Library’s display across from the Reference desk features biographies of Sojourner Truth, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Fannie Lou Hamer, Martha Graham, Twyla Tharp, and Frida Kahlo; Kathrine Switzer, the woman who opened the Boston Marathon to women; Margaret Sanger, advocate for women’s access to birth control; Sarah Emma Edmonds, Civil War soldier; and Babe Didrikson Zaharias, all-around super-athlete. Also included are books on the feminist movement in India, China, Japan, Sudan, England, France, and much more. Check it out!
